Oceana
Since my first season on Stellwagen Bank a decade ago, the Humpback whale has been my muse. Their complex anatomy, bewildering behavior, and conservation concerns provide infinite fascination. I am particularly drawn to their unique fluke patterns, for which I call the species “the painted whale”.
