This is a sculptural rendition of a Humpback whale nicknamed ‘Ūhini, the Hawaiian word for Cricket. These denizens are of a scale so vast that light friscilates as a mosaic upon their mass. Their flanks shimmer as stained glass, rebounding kaleidoscopic rays into the pelagic temple.
