Marine Education and Research Society has nicknamed BCX1063 for her white ripple-like markings on the top left of her fluke. The survivor of a dangerous entanglement as evidenced by scarring on her left jaw, this huntress Ripple brandishes her fearsome baleen when hunting herring in the shores of British Columbia.
