The Humpback whale is a reflection by which we view our primordial selves; we are found wanting for these avatars distanced from terrestrial vices and quarrel, as they are of a nation apart from ego and one with nature. A people before landfall.
This sculpture of a Mother and Child is imagined after the denizens UFO and Mars, two Humpback whales encountered seasonally in the Gulf of Maine.
